Arkansas City Recreation Commission offers a variety of recreation programs, sports leagues, special events, fitness classes, and aquatic programs for Arkansas City community members of all ages.<\/p>

Arkansas City Recreation Commission is overseen by a five-person board. Daily operations and management are handled by the staff of ACRC.<\/p>

Facilities Information<\/strong><\/p>

The Rec Center located in downtown Arkansas City, Kansas at 225 East Fifth Avenue and is open for general use, subject to event scheduling. The Physical Fitness Center<\/a> is located in the lower level of the Rec Center.<\/p>

ACRC also manages the Family Aquatic Center<\/a>, Paris Park Pool<\/a>, C Dow Sports Complex, AC Skate Park, & Ark City Sports Complex<\/a>.

Registration Information<\/strong><\/p>

Pre-registration is required for all ACRC activities. Registrations are held at the Rec Center, 225 East Fifth Avenue or online at arkcityrec.recdesk.com<\/a>. Program fees must accompany registrations. Anyone residing in USD 470 area is eligible to participate in any Commission sponsored activity.<\/p>

In order to meet the demand for service provided to non-residents of USD 470 school district, out-of-district residents will be assessed a slightly higher fee than residents who live within USD 470 boundaries.<\/p>
